To aspire is to long for something or seek ambiously. To me this picture defines aspire because it shows a kid looking at a shadow of someone hip-hop dancing. I think this kid is aiming to be a dancer when he grows older. As a kid, I've always aspired to become one of the world's best hip-hop dancer.
Heritage is something that comes or belongs to one by reason of birth. This picture shows one of the famous Filipino folk dances called "Tinikling". Even though there are plenty of Filipinos here in the U.S. there are still studios and celebrations that perform different folk dances of the Philippines.Even though I was brought up here in the U.S. my parents made sure I was still aware of my Filipino heritage.
At a first glance, the waterfall is what catches everyone's attention because it appears in the middle of snow. I see this defines desultory because the small waterfall is random and it is surprising to see it somewhere where there is snow.Even though Mike was always voted MVP on his basketball team, his skills seemed to show desultory since he would only practice before a game but inconsistently appear to regular practices.
Feeling or showing profound hopelessness or gloom can be seen in this picture and would be known as despondent. This picture was taken in the Philippines where millions of street children live their lives picking up others trash (especially food). Sometimes they become hopeless of having a better future for themselves. As we walked down the streets of Manila, we saw the despondent look on the children's eyes as they approached us for change or food.
This picture shows a soldier ready to fight on a battlefield. This soldier (all soldiers in general) shows an act of intrepid, resolutely courageous. After Joey got knocked out in the first round, he remained intrepid towards his opponent and got up to fight again with no shame.
