As I walked around the Children's Hospital, I saw how each child was in need of special help. Although there was one child that caught my eye. I walked into his room and observed him as he slept on his medication. It disappoints me to see that a child so young has to suffer an illness like his. As he awoke, I looked at him, interested on how he would react if he saw me standing there. He stared at me and smiled. At that moment, my heart melted and I sat right beside his hospital bed. I spoke to him wondering what his illness was. He told me that he had heart cancer which is a rare case of cancer. He didn't have anymore time to enjoy his childhood because as the days pass, he keeps on getting weaker and weaker. Because of my curiosity, I asked him what he wanted and he replied "an orange turban". When I asked him why, he answered by saying that when he dies, he wants to take it with him as a memory of his dog. Again because of my curiosity I asked him why. He said, "Because my dream is to ride on the back of Barder and fly into the stars." I could tell from that moment that his dog meant so much to him. I left him alone as he laid to rest again. However when I came back to visit him and give him a gift, he was on life support. I laid my gift beside him, on his hands, and looked at him for awhile. I thought about his dream and told the doctor that it would be better to let his rest than make him suffer. As the doctor turned off his life support, I held his hand and wished for his dream to come true.
